A Remote Temperature Sensor (RTS) for the TS45 or TS60 charge controller provides temperature compensated charging by measuring the temperature at the battery (10 meter cable). Use of the RTS is recommended whenever the temperature at the battery will be more than 5C (9F) different than the temperature at the controller. The TriStar charge controllers do not have on-board temperature compensation, therefore the use of the RTS is required for temperature compensated charging....
