Engineered with a smart BMS, integrated Bluetooth monitoring, and built-in automatic heating, this is one of the smallest and lightest 4.4kWh batteries in its class—assembled and tested in Canada for Canadian conditions.
All Royer batteries feature stainless steel casings and mounting carts for long-lasting durability in demanding environments. They are built using UL 1973 and UL 9540A certified cells, ensuring a high level of safety and performance in energy storage applications.

The Royer Nano 24V 170Ah battery is engineered using eight high-capacity 3.2V 170Ah prismatic cells, offering a robust and simplified design with fewer components for enhanced reliability. These cells support full depth of discharge to ensure maximum capacity when needed. Through the Bluetooth-enabled app or factory settings, users can adjust the charging and discharging range (e.g., 20%-90%) to prolong battery life. For context, one Nano 24V 170Ah battery can replace the usable energy of over six (6.4) standard 6V 225Ah golf cart batteries.
Each charge/discharge cycle helps define the lifespan of the battery. Even if cycled daily, users can expect between 3,000 to 5,000 full cycles before capacity decreases to 80%—still providing 136Ah (3.48kWh) of usable power. The battery is built for over 10,000 cycles in most real-world applications. With a 10-year warranty and easily serviceable steel casing, Royer batteries are made to last and can be maintained even after the warranty period.
The advanced Bluetooth-enabled BTBMS (Battery Management System) is a key differentiator in Royer batteries. It enables users to set charge/discharge limits, monitor battery status in real time, and remotely power the battery on or off using a smartphone or tablet. When paired with the optional RB Smart LCD, users can access even more control options including toggling charging or discharging functions. The BTBMS system features automatic cutoffs for high/low temperature and voltage and is built using open-source architecture for future servicing or integration with third-party apps.
While traditional LiFePO4 batteries cannot be charged below 0°C, Royer Nano batteries include an automatic internal heating system that raises cell temperature above 5°C during charging. The heater engages only when necessary and draws power from the charging source, ensuring safety and performance in any climate. If the battery’s charge switch is off, the heater will remain off.
Royer's BTBMS is rated for 150A continuous discharge, 200A for 60 seconds, and 300A peak for 1 second. It features a 1120A short-circuit cutout for additional protection. The battery supports a maximum charge current of 125A for up to 60 seconds, with a recommended range of 50–75A per battery to maximize lifespan. Users should size wiring and fuses appropriately based on their expected load.
Safety is central to Royer’s design. With LiFePO4 chemistry, these batteries offer excellent thermal stability and low fire risk. They require no venting or maintenance and experience less than 3% self-discharge per month. The integrated BTBMS includes protections for short circuits, overcurrent, and extreme temperatures. For added protection, external system fusing is still recommended.
