This is a 12V RV solar, battery, and inverter-charger kit designed for small and medium-size AC and DC loads. It combines a 660W solar array, a SWE 12V 200Ah Li-ion battery, a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/60 charge controller, and a Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50 inverter-charger.
This kit can supply compatible small and medium-size RV loads, such as:
Check each appliance's running power and startup requirements against the inverter specifications. Coffee makers, blenders, and microwaves vary in power demand and should be assessed individually before use.
The kit includes 3 × Lumera 220W rigid solar panels, providing a total rated solar array capacity of 660W. Actual solar output depends on sunlight, shading, panel orientation, and operating conditions.
You need enough unobstructed roof space for three Lumera 220W rigid solar panels and their mounting brackets. Check the panel dimensions and allow room for installation, roof vents, air conditioners, and other obstructions before ordering.
The kit includes 1 × SWE 12V 200Ah Li-ion battery. Refer to the battery datasheet for charging settings, operating temperatures, discharge limits, and installation requirements.
The kit includes 1 × Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/60 charge controller. The controller regulates solar charging for the battery system. Follow the manufacturer's specifications for panel configuration and battery charging settings.
The kit includes 1 × Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50 inverter-charger. It converts battery power to AC power and can charge the battery when a compatible AC source is connected. Check the manufacturer's continuous and startup output ratings when selecting appliances.
Yes. The included Victron MultiPlus inverter-charger supports battery charging from a compatible AC source, such as shore power or a suitable generator. The AC source, wiring, and charging settings must meet the manufacturer's requirements.
The kit does not include a DC-DC charger or a dedicated alternator-charging system. To charge the house battery while driving, a separate compatible charging solution is required.
See the System Components section for individual cable lengths and terminal configurations.
The kit includes one of each of the following:
Confirm that the supplied cable lengths suit your installation layout. Bare cable ends require appropriate termination during installation.
The Medium Loads kit increases the rated solar array capacity from 440W to 660W and battery capacity from 100Ah to 200Ah. It uses a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/60 controller, a Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50 inverter-charger, and a Blue Sea 70A resettable breaker.
Appliance compatibility depends on continuous power demand, startup requirements, simultaneous loads, and the battery's discharge limits. Check these against the component specifications before use. High-demand appliances may require a larger inverter, battery bank, and solar array.
Installation requires correct solar, battery, DC protection, and AC wiring. Follow the component manufacturers' instructions and applicable electrical requirements. Have a qualified RV technician or electrician confirm the system layout, cable terminations, protection, and AC connections. Additional installation materials may be required for your RV.
Actual solar production and battery runtime depend on connected loads and operating conditions. Verify appliance requirements, available roof space, cable lengths, battery settings, and installation requirements before installation. Refer to the System Components section for the supplied items and to the manufacturer documentation for operating limits.
